Chicago Blues Guide June 2018
“SonicSoul gives new meaning to the term power trio. The band’s power lies -- not in volume -- but in terms of soul, talent and the ability to connect with the audience. Seeing them play live was a gripping, emotional experience of the kind that only great blues players can deliver. And they got us off our butts to dance, too. We gave them a well-deserved standing ovation.”

"We have a busy restaurant on the Chicago River and my customers love SonicSoul. They play great traditional Chicago blues and also cover classic songs from the 60's and 70's that they put their own stamp on. SonicSoul is a best kept secret of Chicago--but I don't expect that to last!"

About.
SonicSoul was highlighted in June 2018 on Extra Weekend Edition as a fixture on the Chicago music scene. SonicSoul is deeply rooted in the city's blues scene but also enjoy infusing elements of rock, funk, jazz and reggae into their original music. Beyond their own songs, SonicSoul will hit you with a mix of well known blues tunes, classic blues rock and a variety of funky covers that get the crowd on their feet!
SonicSoul has opened for Robert Cray, Lil' Ed and The Blues Imperials, Matthew Skoller, Guy King, Mike Wheeler, Selwyn Birchwood and more. With three years of steady gigging since their debut CD, SonicSoul has evolved into a funky soulful blues band with a style all their own and is poised for larger stages. Audiences everywhere are dazzled by the big sound and musicianship this trio delivers!
SonicSoul is a sonic force that captures the audience from the first note and leaves them wanting more with the last!
